The Portuguese Football Federation stated in an announcement on Tuesday that Cristiano Ronaldo is confirmed positive for coronavirus, According to the announcement, Ronaldo is healthy, without signs and is being quarantined.
Cristiano Ronaldo played for Portugal against France in the Nations League on Sunday and against Spain in a friendly match last week. On Monday, he shared a photo on social media of him having a meal with his Portugal teammates
After Ronaldo tested positive to the virus, the Portuguese Football Federation stated that each player afterward tested negative to the test conducted on Tuesday morning.
Earlier this year Ronaldo travelled to his native Madeira when the virus cases began to increase in Europe and football was post ponded, according to Reuters.
Now, Ronaldo will not be present during his country’s next Nations League fixture against Sweden on Wednesday, along with Juventus’ forthcoming games which comprise a Serie A clash with Crotone and a Champions League group match against Dynamo Kyiv.
